Hebrews 1:1-3
In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.


// 7 Ways Jesus is Superior :

1) God appointed Jesus the heir of .

Hebrews 1:2
…His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things…

Colossians 1:15
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Romans 8:17
Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Greek : aiōn = “the ages”

John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.


3) Jesus is the of God’s glory.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory…

Greek : apaugasma = “effulgence, to shine brightly”


4) Jesus is the exact of God’s own being.

For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in him…

For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.


7) Jesus at the right hand of God.

Hebrews 1:3
…[Jesus] sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Colossians 1:18
[Jesus] is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
