*Growing to Conformity: Spiritual Disciplines *

A disciple is “one who is a true follower of Christ in mind and deed, teaching others to do the same, that is, all that Christ commanded.”

All Disciples are “Called” – (Kaleo καλέω) to urgently invite someone to accept responsibilities for a particular task, implying a new relationship to the one who does the calling—that is Jesus and His gospel.

Prayer/Devotion**
Prayer is the believer’s daily communion with God; it draws the believer into a more personal and intimate relationship whereby through supplication the believer’s heart is exposed to God and God draws near. It is the most intimate part of the believer’s relationship with God and infuses their worship of Him.

Bible Study
Do you know that that’s the call of every believer? We are all called to read the Bible, interpret the Bible, meditate on the Bible, teach the Bible and do what it says. As believers, it is not just the pastor or shepherd who is called to teach the Word of God. Every believer has that responsibility in their sphere of influence to teach the Word or proclaim the gospel message to someone else. And if we as believers are not doing that, we are not fulfilling our responsibility as believers.
