Everyday Jesus Notes 7.25.21
July 24, 2021

Everyday Jesus: Everyday Jesus is a great way to deepen your Bible reading, prayer life & personal time with Christ.

• Monday: Using your sermon notes, look up the verses for each of the 3 Greek words that are translated as “entrusted” in our English Bible. Look at the definition of each word used, the context surrounding each passage and how each Scripture deepens your understanding of what “entrusted” means. Pick one of the passages from each word to lead you into prayer.
• Tuesday: Read Matthew 24:1-3 & 25:14-30. The Parable of the Talents is part of Jesus longer answer about the kingdom of God. Specifically, this parable explains how we are to manage what God has entrusted to us, in light of His imminent return. God gives to each steward according to their individual ability. Which places the focus on what they did with what they were entrusted with - not how much they were given. Today, ask the Lord for His strength to be a steward over what God has entrusted to you, so that He will be pleased with the life you live - for Him.
• Wednesday: {Day of Fasting} Read Matthew 25:14-30, the two servants that increased what was entrusted to them were referred to as “good and faithful servants”, the one that poorly managed what was entrusted to him was referred to as the wicked slothful servant. Ask the Lord to teach you how to manage what He has entrusted you with in a way that is seen says good and faithful in the Lord’s sight.
• Thursday: Read Matthew 25:14-30 and meditate specifically on v29. Christ teaches of a use it or lose it principle. The good manager of what has been entrusted to them, has abundance. The poor manager of what has been entrusted them, has it removed from them. Let the truth of that verse lead you into prayer.
• Friday: Read Matthew 25:14-30 The poor manager, not only has what God has entrusted to them removed, they also are thrown into “outer darkness” (Matthew 8:12). In your prayer time, affirm your commitment to the Lord to manage what has been entrusted to you in a way that glorifies Him.
