1. What strikes you as interesting or surprising about these two passages? What do you think it would have been like to have been there and heard from Jesus?
   

2. For many professing Christians, these verses are believed to be only for missionaries who take the gospel to foreign lands. Why is that not true? How are these applicable for us today?
   

3. In your own words, what does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus? What do Jesus’ followers prioritize?
   

4. Who is discipling you? What are you learning and applying from your current discipleship?
