Happy Easter!

Pastor Peter Gowesky

“He said to them, ‘The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after three days he will rise.’ But they did not understand what he meant and were afraid to ask him about it.” —-Mark 9:31-32

“We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!” —-Matthew 20:18-19

Pt. 1 Jesus’ ressurection

who He was to who you could be.

“After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.” —-Acts 1:3

“…Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.” —-1 Corinthians 15:3-6

“’I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.’” —-John 11:25-26

Pt. 2 Jesus’ resurrection

that there is .

“‘I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’” —-John 10:10

“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.” —-Philippians 3:10-11

Pt. 3 Jesus’ resurrection offers you

to live.

Accept the proof.

“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” —-Romans 10:9

Believe the promise.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” —-John 3:16

Count on His power daily.

“We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us.” —-2 Corinthians 1:8-10
