1 Timothy 1:1-11 ESV

The Awesome Privilege of Gospel


All Christians are entrusted with Jesus’ gospel.

Responding to this passage:
1. Exercise caution when using the word, “

.” As followers of Jesus Christ, Godliness involves knowing the Triune God, making disciples of Him, building up His Church, and following His Spirit in accordance with His Word.
2. Be diligent in spiritual legalism, good-intentioned moralism, and speculative debates which give the appearance of Godliness but don’t lead anyone to salvation. Instead, in the truth of Jesus’ gospel which brings life, love, and order within God’s family.
