YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR

8-11 Rahab said, “I know that God has given you the land. We’re all afraid. Everyone in the country feels hopeless. We heard how God dried up the waters of the Red Sea before you when you left Egypt. We heard it and our hearts sank. We all had the wind knocked out of us. —Joshua 2:8-11 (TMB)

KEY: OVERCOME FEAR

It was well past midnight when I heard the scream, for a moment I thought I was dreaming, but then it continued. I got up and ran to the hallway.

“What happened? What happened?”

Do you see it? My niece asked.

See what?”

That big roach under the rug?

“What roach?” I asked, as I raised the rug. I looked to tell my niece “That this little roach can’t hurt you” but she was out the door and in the kitchen, refusing to come anywhere near her bedroom unless I could prove to her that I had killed the roach.

Now, my niece is 5ft 10”, so who is afraid of whom? When I raised up that rug the roach was running for his life because no doubt his Momma and Daddy told him that, “these humans are dangerous, especially the ones that scream when they see you.”

The roach community knows our history.

I am sure you can relate to this story but more importantly I want to draw your attention to what Rahab told the Spies.

  1. “I know God has given you this land we’re all afraid” The enemy knows who lives within us and fights for us and that makes him afraid of us because of the power that is within us.

  2. “We heard how God dried up the waters of the Red Sea before you when you left Egypt. We heard it and our hearts sank” We need to remember our history of God’s faithfulness He is the same yesterday and forever if he did it in the pass he will most certainly do it in the future our responsibility in to LET OUR FAITH ARISE and fight on for we are more than conquerors.
