God is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? —Numbers 23:19

“God is not a man that He should lie…”

It has been proven right from creation that God is always true to His words. Everything He spoke in creation came to pass and the results were evident. Why does His words always come to pass and produced such tremendous results? Because He is the God of truth and He Himself is the Truth. Let us go back to our text to see what Balaam said about why God does not lie. Balaam discovered God is not a human being, that is why He cannot lie. Both Balak and Balaam tried to get God to break His covenant by cursing the Israelites but would not do that. Throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament. I have discovered that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are always true to their words and hate lies. What then should be our attitude towards God and His words? We must have a positive attitude in hearing, reading, studying, meditating and memorizing the word of God. WE MUST BELIEVE THE WORD AND OBEY THE WORD SO THAT WE WILL BE BLESSED AND BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS.

PRAYER: LORD JESUS, PLEASE HELP US TO LOVE YOU AND YOUR UNCHALLENGED WORD MORE AND MORE. Amen
