“PALM’S, PREDICTIONS & PROMISES”
John 10:10
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Luke 19:29
29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.
31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.
GOD IS CALLING CHRISTIANS TO BE BOLD!
BOLD FAITH = IMMEDIATE OBEDIENCE
… SOME ARE WAITING ON GOD TO EXPLAIN why:
- he wants you to give
- he wants you to forgive
- he wants you to let go of that emotion
- he wants you a part of a church
WHERE THERE IS NO
- Where there is NO FAITH - there is NO
- Where there is NO FAITH - there is NO
- Where there is NO FAITH - there is NO
Jesus called us to do something risky, and never done before.
3 SYMBOLS OF PALM SUNDAY
1) THE
“TIED” is a good word to describe the human condition…
WE FIND OURSELVES TIED to addiction -
addiction = cycles of sin
- you convince yourself its justified.
- inviting demon oppression…
- most “sorcerers” in the Bible were drug dealers…
RELIGION WITHOUT
- Stage 1 - SIN
- Stage 2 - SLAVERY
- Stage 3 - SUPPLICATION
- Stage 4 - SALVATION
- Stage 5 - SILENCE
CHRISTIANS CANNOT BE POSSESSED WITH DEMONS -
HOWEVER SO MANY ARE LIVING TIED TO A CYCLE OF DEMONIC OPPRESSION.
- TIED TO THOUGHTS OF THE PAST (“I’m tied to the things that person did to me”)
- TIED - TO FEAR OF A POSSIBILITY (“I’m tied to the sickness that was prescribed to me”)
- TIED TO DEPRESSION / HEAVINESS
- TIED TO RESTLESSNES … INABILITY TO SLEEP!
- TIED TO INTENSE CRAVINGS FOR UNHOLY THINGS
- TIED TO MONEY… NEED FOR MORE… LACK THEREOF… (“I’m tied to my lack”)
The more you try to pull yourself from it… the tighter it gets…
- self-help programs.
- counseling.
- substituting things.
32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
THE ENEMY IS TRYING TO PREACH TO YOU -
HE WILL TELL YOU THAT THE SITUATION YOU ARE TIED TO…
THE PROBLEMS YOU ARE TIED TO ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OVER…
THIS CYCLE IS GOING TO BE YOURS FOREVER…
HE IS TRYING TO BE THE BEST PREACHER IN YOUR LIFE TO CONVINCE YOU THAT THIS IS NEVER GOING TO CHANGE…
JESUS CAME TO UNTIE YOU!
Hebrews 12:2a
2a Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…
THE UNTIED DONKEY REPRESENTS THE FREEDOM THAT JESUS HAS COME TO GIVE EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES!
John 8:36
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Jesus didn’t come to make you kind of free, or sort of free…
HE CAME TO UNTIE YOU FROM ANY BONDAGE THAT WOULD TRY TO HOLD YOU DOWN!
Matthew 21:8 - 9
8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

The donkey was a fulfillment of prophesy. It was purposeful and planned.
Zechariah 9:9
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
You have to choose what you want more… the “STYLE” or the “VICTORY?
1 Corinthians 1:27
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
ARE YOU WILLING TO LOOK A LITTLE FOOLISH FOR YOUR FAITH?!

Matthew 21:8 – 11

The crowd waved palm branches, which were a traditional symbol of victory.
“THE SON OF DAVID” = They were saying to the RIGHTFUL KING OF ISRAEL!
THE WHOLE CITY STARTED SHAKING WITH ANTICIPATION!!!
PALM BRANCHES = was celebrating victory and the presence of royalty!
HOSANNA = “I WILL WORSHIP YOU!”
SON OF DAVID = saying “YOU ARE KING!”
THEY WERE WAVING PALM BRANCHES THAT REPRESENTED VICTORY
Hebrews 11:1
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
FAITH IS SEEING WHAT YOU CAN NOT YET SEE.
FAITH WILL ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR FOCUS!
BRANCH = Greek word “basis” - the foundation standing upon.
PALM THE GREEK WORD = PHOENIX
JESUS IS RAISING US TO NEW LIFE!
- MY GOD MOVES MOUNTAINS!
- MY GOD MAKES A WAY WHEN THERE IS NO WAY!
- MY GOD MAKES RIVERS IN THE DESERT!
:OUR PREDICTIONS ARE BASED ON GOD’S PROMISES:
FAITH IS ANTICIPATION minus ANXIETY!
- JESUS CAME
- CONQUERED
- DIED
- ROSE AGAIN
- AND NOW HE IS COMMANDING US TO BE VICTORIOUS!
HERE IS OUR PALM PREDICTION TODAY:
ROMANS 8:37
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
WHEN DOUBT SHOWS UP - WAVE AND SHOUT HOSANNA!
WHEN THE WORDS OF NEGATIVITY SHOW UP - WAVE AND SHOUT HOSANNA!
WHEN THE THOUGHTS AGAINST THE PEACE OF GOD COME UP -
WAVE AND SHOUT HOSANNA!
