No Short Cuts

Luke 19:28-48

We all have pictures and images of Jesus, but there is one we rarely visualize. As He embarks on the last week of His life, He enters the City of God humbly, and then He enters the temple and gives a word for the people that is prophetic for us today. “My house shall be called…”

They welcomed Him with:
Faith
“Go into that village over there,” he told them. As you enter it, you will see a young donkey tied there…” v30a
Obedience
“So they brought the colt to Jesus…” v35a

They missed His:
Mission
“But as he came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, he began to weep.” v41
Message
“How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace.” v42a

Action Points:
How are we missing the Mission of God today?
How do we miss the message of God for the world?
Change must begin with prayer.
Prayer should be heartfelt and specific.
