Psalm 30

Psalm 30 is a song of celebration based on an event in David’s life recorded in 1 Chronicles 21-22:6

David’s experience and the movements of this Psalm can help us:

.
When life is good, we are most at risk of forgetting who’s responsible.

Second stage: “

good!” -Psalm 30:6-7

When things are going well, pride can quietly begin to grow in the shadow places of our heart (Deuteronomy 8:10-18).

When life is good—stay consciously aware it’s because the favor of God has

for you.

Third Stage:

is good! Psalm 30: 8-10.
It’s good to trust God’s mercy.

Fourth stage:

! – Psalm 30: 11-12a
The mercy of God is your only hope in the middle of your mess (Exodus 34:6-7; Psalm 51:1-2; Lamentations 3:22-23)

Fifth Stage:

! -Psalm 30: 12b, 1-5
Praise God, his mercy is greater than our mess!

Response: In your mess, open your heart to God’s mercy.

God’s mercy is greater than our mess!!
