Jotham became mighty because He took God’s KNOWLEDGE and POWER and actually DID IT.
“24 Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does themwill be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do themwill be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was thefall of it.” —Matthew 7:24–27
Many people come to God asking for Him to make life EASY. God gives His Word and His Spirit to make people STRONG.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of Yahweh forever. —Psalm 23:4–6
