SALVATION

John 3:16 says:
For God so loved the world,

his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Greek Word for gave is, “didomi”.
1. To give, bestow
2. To give of one’s own hand
3. To give of one’s own possessions

The absolute center of the heart of God and the message of the gospel is

.

What does the word salvation mean?

Salvation = deliverance, rescue, recover or to escape from something.

To understand the salvation of God we must first understand…

GOD’S

God can’t bless or accept sin so something had to be done. We should be very thankful that He desired to be with us.

Leviticus 17:11 says:
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

God required a sacrifice for sin, but He also demonstrated His mercy by providing that sacrifice for sin.

OUR OF

God’s judgment against sin created a barrier that no human could ever cross.

Isaiah 64:6 says:
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Ephesians 2:1 says:
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

CHRIST’S WORK

If there is no doctrine of salvation then the human story would end right there.

Imagine facing God’s holy righteousness without the salvation work of Jesus.

Mark 10:45 says:
For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for

.

Luke 19:10 says:
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

John 1:29 says:
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

1 Corinthians 15:3 says:
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

On the cross Christ took our place and paid the penalty for our sins.

Leviticus 17:11 says:
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have

it to you upon the altar to an atonement for your souls: for it is that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Hebrews 9:22 says:
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Those who deny the

deny the very message of the gospel.

Matthew 26:28 says:
For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

“Many” is the Greek Word “polus” which means much or masses. Does the blood and salvation of Jesus only cover the sins of many or much? The word means masses as in droves of people, but we should translate it as all people, all masses.

Romans 5:15 says:
But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ hath abaounded unto many.
