Daniel saw a vision of the future and was “deeply troubled.” Talk about how Daniel handled these emotions in comparison to how you respond to feelings like his.
In Daniel 7:9-10, Daniel gives a description of God as he saw Him in his dreams and vision. How would you describe God? Consider the differences you notice between yours and Daniel’s descriptions?
Read Mark 10:45 and Daniel 7:13-14. As Jesus’ “Mission Statement”is given in these verses, give examples of how he lived out His mission statement. What other verses would you add to describe His mission?
Describe what you think it means to be “Kingdom obsessed.” on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being “very much” how would you rate yourself on being Kingdom obsessed? How would a good friend’s rating of you in this area compare to your rating of yourself?
In very general terms, what events, issues or aspects of your life keep you from being Kingdom obsessed?
We are to be about the business of our King. In what practical ways can you be more about the King’s business in the week ahead than you were last week?
PRAY
Lord, thank you for the template of prayer that you gave to us. Please show me the group of people, of which I am a part, for which I need to pray “Forgive us for….” Help me to be willing to take something around me that is ugly, evil and violent and bring beauty, order and Kingdom focus to it.
