1. Who was instrumental in you beginning to follow Jesus? How did their actions meet needs you have?

2. Read John 13:1. What does it mean to love someone to the end? Has someone shown you this kind of love in your life? Have you ever shown someone else this kind of love?

3. Read John 13:3-5. What was Jesus’ purpose in washing the feet of the disciples? What is striking to you?

4. Read Luke 22:21-24. It was while the disciples were arguing about status that Jesus began to wash their feet. What conclusions do you draw from this?

5. Does this story about Jesus washing feet, and the humility Jesus models, remind you of any other passages of Scripture about Jesus?

6. Read Philippians 2:3-8. How is this passage similar to the account of Jesus washing the disciples’ feet?

7. What have you learned about margin in your life? Is it easy or difficult for you to create and protect margin?

8. Whose needs are you meeting in your life right now? How can we be praying for these things?
