1. Can you recall the first moment (or an early moment) where you realized how awesome God is? A moment where you reflected in awe, “My God did that!”
2. What experiences have propelled you not only to recognize that God is awesome but also that the awesome God is with you?
3. What giant(s) are you facing (finances? a diagnosis? broken relationships? etc.)?
4. What keeps you from believing that God is bigger than the giants you’re facing?
5. What has God prepared you with? What are your smooth stones and your sling…your experiences and struggles that have set you up for the situation you’re in?
6. Pastor Robert said, “In the economy of God, nothing…is wasted.” Have you seen him redeem seemingly broken experiences or situations in your life?

PRAY

Lord, thank you for being an awesome God…the awesome God who is with me, from the beginning where you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Through all of my life, through the struggles and perceived failures, you’ve been there…a shaping, smoothing, sustaining river of life, preparing me for all the giants I face.
