July 21, 2022

Test me, Lord, and try me,
examine my heart and my mind;
for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love
and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.-PSALM 26:2-3

  1. Who comes to mind when you think of someone who is trustworthy and dependable?

  2. The Bible outlines God’s faithfulness to those who rely on Him over time. What examples from scripture come to mind? How does their experience resonate with you?

  3. Joshua was an Israeli leader after their emancipation from slavery in Egypt. He writes, “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.” (Book of Joshua 24:14)

    What do you need to throw away from the past in order to fully trust God on your present journey?

  4. The writer of Proverbs states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding-“

    In what ways could your own understanding of life’s circumstances be at odds with trusting God with all your heart?
