Who is the most famous person you’ve ever met or interacted with? How did you react?

Most of the people in this moment missed exactly what Jesus was doing. The religious leaders think He is a liar, and many of Jesus’ followers expect Him to enter into Jerusalem with some fanfare in order to start a revolution. Yet Jesus is not the type of king that anyone expects.

Jesus often reminded people that following came with great personal cost, but was ultimately worth it in the end. Yet, we often prioritize the comfort and ease of today over the fulfillment that Jesus promises later.
