SEEK FIRST HIS KINGDOM
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. —Matthew 6:33
For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. —Romans 14:17
KINGDOM JOY
These things I have spoken to you, that
My joy may remain in you, and that
your joy may be full. —John 15:115 But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.
6 David also spoke of this when he described the happiness of those who are declared righteous without working for it:
7 Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight.
8 Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of sin.” —Romans 4:5 - 8 (NLT)Casting all your care upon Him,
for He cares for you. —1 Peter 5:7But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. —1 Peter 5:10
These things I have spoken to you, that in
Me you may have peace. In the world you
will have tribulation; but be of good cheer,
I have overcome the world. —John 16:334 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. —Philippians 4:4 - 9Casting down arguments and every high
thing that exalts itself against the
knowledge of God, bringing every
thought into captivity to the
obedience of Christ —2 Corinthians 10:5Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. —Ephesians 3:20 - 2116 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. —2 Corinthians 4:16 - 18My brethren, count it all joy when
you fall into various trials. —James 1:2Do not sorrow, for the joy
of the Lord is your strength. —Nehemiah 8:10bA joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. —Proverbs 17:22 (ESV)22 Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.
23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” —John 16:22 - 24Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. —Psalms 51:12
May the God of hope fill you with all joy
and peace as you trust in him, so that you
may overflow with hope by the power
of the Holy Spirit. —Romans 15:13 (NIV)
