3. Read Matthew 14:13-21
a. What significance is found in the fact that Jesus’ ministry opportunities for the disciples were not scheduled, that they “just happened” during life. What can we learn from this?

b. Jesus is allowing his disciples to participate in ministry. Why is this critical? How does this contribute to “making disciples?”

c. Jesus addresses many of the physical needs of the crowd in this passage as well as several others; how does this open people to the receiving of the truth of who Jesus is? How can a similar strategy of showing love by meeting physical needs be used in the church today?

d. For Jesus, the world was His classroom, and He was a master instructor. How can we learn from Jesus’ example and apply these methods in being better disciples and making more and better disciples ourselves?
