What is a Life Giver?
the first Life Giver
- Genesis 2:7 (NKJV) “ And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”
Jesus is also a
Giver
- John 10:10 (NKJV) “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
These are two functions of Mothers, and Churches:
- To take dead things and make them Alive, and take Living things and help them live better
- The Holy Spirit in
. Helps us know what God desires for our lives (vs. 5)
. Can help me control my mind (vs. 6)
. Helps me have life and peace (vs. 6)
. Gives “life” to my mortal body (vs. 11)
. Helps me put to death my “misdeeds” – helps me control my sin (vs. 13)
. Testifies to the fact that I am a child of God (vs. 16)
Romans 8:10–11 (NIV)
“But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”God gives life
- Jesus came to Give Abundant Life
- The Holy Spirit makes dead people alive
- Light gives Life
- Don’t you think the Christians Duty is to Give life too?
1. Speak
to Others
James 3:5–6 (NIV) 5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. 11 Can both fresh water and saltwater flow from the same spring?
Proverbs 18:21 (NIV) The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
2. Don’t Say
You
- James 1:19 (NIV) “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry…”
