Seven Statements Of Christ From The Cross
1. Statement of Forgiveness
Luke 23:34 / ESV, Jesus said, ““Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do..”
Psalm 130: 3-4 / CSB, ““Lord, if you kept an account of iniquities, Lord, who could stand? 4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that you may be revered.”
2. Statement of Promise
Luke 23:43 / NIV, Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
3. Statement of Awareness
John 19:26-27 / ESV, ““When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” 27 Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.”
4. Statement of Substitution
