Peaceful - Next Steps

Message Summary
One word we often use to describe our lives is “busy.” Busy-ness often consumes our days, leaving us exhausted. The pace of our modern-day life often leads to anxiety and stress. These are not the characteristics that define the full life given to us in Christ. When we are experiencing the fullness of Christ in our lives, we will find peace. This week, we focus on why it matters to live peacefully and how Christ brings peace into our day to day.
• What would you define as a peaceful life?
• What are things that steal peace in your life?
• Where have you seen benefits of peace in your life?

Read Colossians 3:15
1) What should be the rule in our hearts?

2) Why is peace important to unity in the church?

3) How does being thankful help us live in peace?

4) What areas of your life do you need to experience the peace of Christ?

5) What prevents you from experiencing the peace of Christ?

6) How do you get rid of that which prevents you from experiencing the peace of Christ?

Read Romans 12:18; Ephesians 4:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 5:13
7) How do these passages encourage us to live with one another?

8) What is the benefit in living this way?

9) What is our responsibility in seeking peaceful relationships?

10) What prevents us from living peacefully?

11) Where, in your life, do you need to choose peace?

12) What changes need to be made in your life to choose peace?
