I’ll Be Back - Titus 2:13

perilous times are coming… perilous times already here… Jesus was first one to say, I’ll be back… are you ready for His return… are those you love ready…
John 14:2-3… “I go to prepare a place for you… I will come back for you…”
Titus 2:13… “we wait for our blessed hope… coming of our Lord Jesus Christ…”
Heb 9:28… “He will come again… to bring salvation to those waiting for Him…”
soteria… deliver, preserve, keep safe; redeemed from earthly ills; benefits and blessings…
1John 3:2-3… “when He shall appear… be like Him… hope is fixed on Him…”
as we enter last days… let me remind you why we do what we do… want enemy to know your name… want you to be a problem for him… don’t hide your light under basket… be actively involved in ministry… nothing more important…
Acts 19:11-20… “seven sons… I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you…”
2Cor 5:17-21… “has given us ministry of reconciliation… in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself… not counting their sins against them… He has committed the message of reconciliation to us… we are ambassadors for Christ… God is making His appeal thru us… we plead, be reconciled to God…”
katallasso… exchange for equivalent value; return to favor…
if we only focus on our music, our fellowship, our preaching… we’ve let you down… Christianity is more about what happens outside this building than inside… especially now… can’t afford to be spectators… reconciliation is given to all of us…
Matt 4:19-20… “follow Me, I will make you fishers of men… left nets at once…”
Matt 28:19-20… “go and make disciples of all nations… baptize, teach…”
Acts 1:8… “receive HS… be witnesses… telling people about Me everywhere…”
2Tim 2:2… “teach these things to faithful men… who will teach others also…”
We don’t fail in our evangelism if we faithfully present the Gospel and yet the person is not converted; we fail only if we don’t faithfully present the Gospel at all. —Pastor Mark Dever
why do we do what we do… we want you to be passionately in love with the God of the bible and take Him beyond these walls… want you to gaze at the goodness of Jesus so HS can mold you and shape you to become more like Him… pray…
2Cor 3:5-18… “enabled us to be ministers of a New Covenant… ministry that brings righteousness and overflows with even more glory… at reading of Old Covenant, veil remains, only removed in Christ… we, with unveiled faces, behold glory of the Lord… being transformed into the same image… by the Holy Spirit…”
talking about signs of the last days… bible gives us plenty of evidence… God is not trying to hide these signs from us… but prepare us not to be troubled…
Matt 24:3… “what sign will signal your return and the end of the world…”
Luke 21:29-31… “when you see these things… Kingdom of God is near…”
2Pet 3:3-4… “be aware… scoffers will come in the last days…”
1John 2:18… “many anti-christs have come… we know this is the last hour…”
can’t we just pray and stop these things from happening… interesting question… not saying I have answer… but, don’t think so… delay maybe, but not stop…
Jonah 3… “destroy Nineveh… they repented… God had compassion…”
Nahum 1… “the Lord is slow to get angry… but never lets guilty go unpunished… the Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes… He is close to those who trust Him… but He will sweep away enemies and completely destroy Nineveh…”
Gen 13-19… “going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah… will You sweep away righteous with wicked, what if there are 10 righteous people… I will not destroy it on account of 10… angel said, I cannot do anything until you leave the city…”
Rom 5:9… “since we have been declared righteous… saved thru Him from wrath…”
Matt 24:6-8… “see you are not alarmed… these things must take place…”
2Pet 3:9… “Lord is patient… not wanting any to perish but everyone to repent…”
in US… 84 fires are currently burning over 3-million acres in 13 states… in 2022, 38,400 fires already burned 5.5 million acres… 52% of lower 48 are in drought affecting 120-million people… worldwide, this week… 133 earthquakes over 4.0… 30-million experiencing alarming hunger… 10-million emergency famine…
Isa 26:21… “coming to punish people for iniquity… earth won’t hide bloodshed…”
Luke 21:25-26… “people will faint with fear of the things coming on the world…”
Rom 8:19-23… “creation eagerly waits for God’s sons to be revealed… subjected to curse… but with hope looks forward to day when it will join God’s children in freedom from death and decay… groaning in pains of childbirth to present time…”
so, what should we do… how should we respond… with faith, not fear…
Matt 24… “Gospel preached in all the world… then end will come… be alert…”
Luke 21:28… “when these take place… stand up, lift head… redemption is near…”
apolytrosis… ransom of slaves; freedom from misery and penalty of sins; separation…
2Cor 5:5-11… “prepared for this very purpose… we walk by faith, not by sight… because we understand our responsibility… we try to persuade others…”
we live in Goshen (draw near), not Egypt… God will never forsake His people… we are supernaturally supplied… even in midst of terrible circumstances…
Exo 6-12… “I have remembered My covenant… I will redeem you… Egypt will suffer… special treatment to Goshen… I will make a distinction between My people and your people… flies, livestock, hail, darkness, death… not in Goshen…”
Psa 91… “if you make the Lord your refuge… Most High your shelter… no evil will conquer you… rescue those who love Me… protect those who trust in My name…”
Isa 54… “though mountains move and hills shake… My love will not be removed from you… your children will be taught by the Lord; their prosperity will be great… you will be established on a foundation of righteousness… no weapon formed against you will prosper… you will silence every voice raised up to accuse you…”
Heb 13:5-6… “I will never leave or abandon you… I will not be afraid…”
trouble is coming… now is time to prepare… not when trouble is upon you… grace teaches us how to live while we wait for Jesus… that’s good news… pray…
Prov 22:3… “prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions…”
Luke 21:34… “be alert… don’t let heart be dulled by carousing and worry…”
John 16:33… “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace…”
Acts 2:41… “Peter warned and pleaded… be saved from this corrupt generation…”
Rom 13:11… “you know how late it is… time is running out… salvation is near…”
Heb 11:7… “by faith Noah… after he was warned… built ark to save his family…”
Titus 2:11-13… “grace revealed… teach how to live… while we wait for Jesus…”
