James 4:11-12

James 4:11a, “Do not speak evil of one another, brothers.”

Proverbs 6:16-19, “There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
Proverbs 16:28, “A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.”
Ephesians 4:31, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.”

Matthew 12:34, “out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.”
Matthew 12:37, “by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
II. THE
James 4:11b, “The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.
1 Samuel 17:17-18, “And Jesse said to David, ‘Take for your brothers an ephah of this parched grain, and these ten loaves, and carry them quickly to the camp to your brothers. Also take these ten cheeses to the commander of their thousand. See if your brothers are well, and bring some token from them.’”

James 4:6, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
James 4:10, “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.”
Matthew 7:3, “Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?”
III. THE
James 4:12, “There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?”
2 Corinthians 5:21, “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
