“Choose Your Dynasty, Choose Your Destiny”
April 2/3 | Clash Of Dynasties III: The Easter Prophecy
Revelation 12:10 (NLT)
“…the accuser of our brothers and sisters… the one who accuses them before our God day and night.”
Revelation 12:12 (NIV)
“…He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”
2 Thessalonians 2:3 (NKJV)
Let no one deceive you… that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition…
Matthew 7:22-23 (NLT)
“On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’”
Romans 10:9 (NLT)
[If you confess with your mouth] that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Matthew 7:23 (AMPC)
And then I will say to them… depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].
Psalm 50:16-17 (NLT)
But God says… “Why bother reciting my decrees and pretending to obey my covenant? For you refuse my discipline and treat my words like trash.”
We’re not saved by obeying Gods’ commands, but something is wrong if a person says he wants Jesus but disdains what Jesus is about.
The 7 Simple Truths Of A “Biblical Worldview”
- Absolute truth exists.
- God is the all-knowing Creator.
- Satan is real.
- Salvation is by grace and can’t be earned.
- Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on Earth.
- The Bible is the word of God.
- Christians have the responsibility to share our faith.
Titus 3:5 (CEV)
He saved us because of his mercy, and not because of any good things that we have done…
Ephesians 2:9 (NLT)
Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Acts 16:31 (NLT)
…”Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved…”
1. The breakdown could be over what it means to be “
.”
Matthew 1:21 (NIV)
“…he will save his people from their sins.”
John 3:19 (NIV)
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light…
Matthew 6:23 (NLT)
“…And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is!”
If I tell God I want to be saved, but I think He’s wrong about sin or that it’s not that big of a deal, then the God who gave his Son to be sacrificed for my sins wants to know, what is it I want to be saved from?
2. The other breakdown could be over what it means to believe on
.
The Biblical Definition Of Belief
- Message.
- Mental agreement.
- Trust.
2 Corinthians 11:4 (NLT)
…they preach a different Jesus… or a different kind of gospel…
John 1:1-5 (NKJV)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 1:14 (NKJV)
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 14:6 (NKJV)
Jesus said… “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Philippians 2:7-11 (NLT)
…he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. …he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
If I make up a Christ in my head and call myself a Christian, I can fool myself and others, but not God.
It’s the easiest thing in the world to be saved… unless my stubbornness and unbelief make it impossible.
Hebrews 13:12-14 (CEV)
Jesus himself suffered outside the city gate, so that his blood would make people holy. That’s why we should go outside the camp to Jesus and share in his disgrace. On this earth we don’t have a city that lasts forever, but we are waiting for such a city.
