Matthew 22:36-38 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Proverbs 15:5 Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline; whoever learns from correction is wise.

2 Timothy 4:2-3 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage - with great patience and careful instruction.

Proverbs 15:32-33 If you reject discipline, you only harm yourself; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding. Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor.
