Be Still and Know

Psalm 46:1-3, 10

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

Be still and know that I am God! —Psalm 46:1-3,10

Being still allows us to hear God

Being still allows us to know God

The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout all the earth, and their words to all the world. —Psalm 19.1-4

Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and we will be satisfied.”

Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?” —John 14.8-9
