Happy Mother’s Day to all of our MOMS!
The official title of today’s message is ‘Moms’ but if we could put an unofficial title to our talk today, it would ‘The Blessing in the Unseen.’
GENESIS 6:5-10 ESV
The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of their heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 BUT NOAH —> found favor in the eyes of the Lord. … NOAH was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
According the scripture above, Noah was a man who:

The size of the ark was:
GENESIS 7:6-7 ESV
Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth. 7 And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him went into the ark to escape the waters of the flood.
But Noah wasn’t alone in all this…
GENESIS 7:6 ESV
‘and his wife…’
In fact, the phrase ‘and his wife…’ is found 7 different times through the story of Noah’s life. Scripture doesn’t provide us a name or any real detail to her life along with no direct mention of her contribution to the events surrounding this story outside of simply being present.
However, just because we cannot SEE her contribuiton, it doesn’t mean it wasn’t there.
All scholars and theologians agree that what was placed on the shoulders of Noah to carry out wasn’t carried out by him alone.

‘and his wife…’
So often we fail to see the blessing in the unseen people who live behind the curtain of notability.
Many times the commitments of a mother goes unnoticed and is given without an expressed appreciation.
MATTHEW 6:5-6 NIV
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be SEEN by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is UNSEEN. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Mom, our heart today is for you to know He sees what you’re doing…and it blesses Him.
