Haggai 2:10-19

v10-14

Haggai speaks to the priests and asks questions about ritual purity, then turns the spotlight on the people: “Whatever they do is

.”

What sort of things do I do that I think make me a good person?

v15-17

God tells them to

— to look back and realise that things haven’t been going right, despite their effort.

Where am I finding the things I try to do for God frustrating or dry? Where might God be trying to wake me up to a heart problem?

v18-19

Then God speaks again — and His tone changes: “From this day on, I will

you.”

Where in my life am I still scrubbing myself clean instead of asking Jesus to make me clean?
