The Wise Steward
Luke 19:11-27
One of the most difficult things to ask of someone is to invest in something. Yet that is what occurs every Sunday morning in church. We are asking the people of God to invest in a kingdom not yet seen. Most of us are not natural investors, nor managers of portfolios. Yet God has seen it fit to give to us His possessions and require of us that we manage it well. Our bodies, mind, spirit, finances, families, life itself, He has called us to manage everything He has given us. So how are you doing in that regard? If Christ was to come back today and ask specifically, “what have you done with the money that I left in your care?” what would your answer be? Would you give an excuse, or do you feel as though you are doing a good job managing the money (resources) He has placed in your care?
