Victory over sin involves:
First, knowing who you are…
Then, offering yourself completely to God…
And the result is sanctification-the gift of God.
The gift of God isn’t just forgiveness, it is total transformation!

WARM UP QUESTION
Pastor Peter talked about cringeworthy Christian bumper stickers on Sunday. Have you ever had a bumper sticker on your car? Or, if you had a bumper sticker, what would you want it to say? (Trinity bumper stickers don’t count!)
HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
1. Read Romans 6:12-23. How is it that we are dead to sin (Romans 6:1-11), but then told to not let sin reign (Romans 6:12).
2. According to this passage, what does it practically look like to “not let sin reign”?
3. What else do we learn here about sanctification? How is sanctification similar or different from justification?
HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
4. In thinking about the way God is sanctifying you, is there anything in this passage that encourages you? Challenges you?
5. Do you have a practical example of how God has transformed you recently?
HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
6. Are there any areas where God is calling you to begin offering your body to him in a more intentional way?
