Sermon Summary
In a world marked by evil and uncertainty, today’s sermon proclaims the certainty of Christ’s unshakable reign and ultimate victory. The seventh trumpet announces that the kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of Christ, evoking worship from heaven’s elders. God’s righteous judgment and faithful reward will bring justice and vindication. The vision of the revealed ark of the covenant assures believers of God’s nearness and faithfulness. In response, we are called to rejoice, worship, and rest in the victorious presence of our Sovereign King.
Verse of the Week
Revelation 11:17 (ESV)
17 We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign.
Going Deeper
This section of the Pulpit Curriculum is meant to support Bible reflection, and encourage readers to come away with a high view of Scripture.
Review Revelation 11: 15-19
1) Rejoice in the unshakable reign of Christ(Revelation 11: 15)

b. What does the transfer from “the kingdom of the world” to “the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ” signify about God’s sovereignty?
2) Worship the God Who is worthy (Revelation 11: 16 – 18)
a. Why is worship tied to both God’s justice and mercy?
b. What does it mean that God has begun to reign actively?
3) Rest in the nearness of God’s presence (Revelation 11: 19)
a. Why is the visibility of the ark significant?
b. What does the open temple teach us about our access to God’s presence?
Assess Your Life
The following questions are meant to encourage personal reflection and identify areas for spiritual growth in your relationship with God. Ask yourself the questions, respond honestly, write down your responses, and then prayerfully seek God’s conviction and guidance to move forward to repentance and restoration. In discussions with your friends and family, or in your Small Group, be open to sharing your responses with others in a spirit of accountability and transparency.
1) To what extent do I believe that Christ’s reign is already established, or do I live as if earthly powers have the final say?
2) In what ways does my life reflect the holiness and justice of God in a rebellious world?
3) In the midst of uncertain or threatening circumstances, am I anchoring my hope in His faithfulness, or in temporary solutions?
Application
A key objective of this Pulpit Curriculum is taking God’s truth as exposed in the sermon and helping people apply that truth in practical and intentional ways to plot a course toward obedience and transformation. This section is intended to achieve that objective.
1. In what areas of my life do I need to let Christ’s reign calm my chaos, as the sermon suggests??
2. In what ways can I live righteously in a world that often glorifies rebellion (see 1 Peter 2:12?
3. How does God’s nearness reshape my perspective on suffering or chaos in my life (see Isaiah 43:2 )?
I will ask_____ to hold me accountable in this.
