Cross=Love 2025- Forever Pt 1

• God gave His Son twice- once at birth, again at the cross.
• Why? So we could believe in Him and be saved & have everlasting/eternal life.
• Rom 10:9- if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus.
• Rom 10:10- confession is made unto salvation.
• Rom 10:13- whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

• Eternal life calls to every person.
• 1 Tim 6:12- Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of eternal life, to which you were called.

• Clearly, our eternal lives are affected by our lives on earth.
• How do you lay up treasures in Heaven?
• 1 Cor 3:12-15 shows us that we lay up treasures in Heaven through our good works.
• Eph 2:8-9
• Our works will be judged & you are expected to do good works.
• The judgment is not condemnation. We are saved by grace through faith.
• Doing good works has a reward.
• Our works do not affect our salvation, but make no mistake, we are called by Him to do good works.
• Serving God is not only right, but it is wise.
• Serving God pays off to your benefit in your life on earth & in eternity.
• Heb 6:10- “For God is not unjust to forget your work & labor of love which you have shown toward His name.”
• God is looking for those who work for Him & He rewards it. He doesn’t forget!
• James 2:17-26- faith without works is dead.
• James 3:13- Who is wise & understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
• Ps 62:12- God renders to each one according to his work.
• Gal 6:9- Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
• You will reap a harvest from God, now or in eternity or both, but you will reap!

• Reminds us to have an eternal, forever mindset.
• Suggests God will find something to praise & reward for each of us!
• Shouldn’t that move us to do more for Him, so He would take pleasure in us & be praised through us?!?!
• Rev 20:6- “…and will reign with Him a thousand years.”
  • We will reign with Jesus over the world.
  • 1 Cor 6:3- Do you not know that we shall judge angels?
  • We will reign with Jesus over the angels.

• Luke 19:17-24 shows us that some will reign over cities.
• It is clear that all believers will be with Christ, but not all reign with the same responsibility or authority.
• What are the deciding factors?
• 2 Tim 2:12- If we endure, we shall also reign with Him.
• Rev 3:21- To him who overcomes, I will grant to sit with Me on My throne.
• Rev 2:26-28- And he who overcomes, and keeps My works (God’s will) until the end.
