Acts 13:36(NIV) “Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed.
How do we serve God’s purpose in our generation?
Permanent whitewater is a churning changing landscape of challenges that come relentlessly and without reprieve. - Peter Vale
We can believe it’s all over for our generation.
We can decide to go all in for our generation.
(Ephesians 6:10-12) A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Hebrews 10:36-39(NIV) You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37 For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.” 38 And, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.
ALL IN For Our Generation
1. Unmistakable Mission.
(Luke 10:2) “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
2. Unyielding Core.
(Proverbs 11:3) Honesty guides good people; dishonesty destroys treacherous people.
Values:
Unconditional Love of God
Supremacy of Jesus Christ
Power of the Holy Spirit
The perfectly true Word of God
Love others as we love ourselves
3. Unbreakable Bond.
(Ecclesiastes 4:9-12) Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
God chose us for this moment.
(Psalm 2:8) Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession.
