MISSION 2023 – TO CHANGE EVERYTHING, IT TAKES EVERYONE! Nehemiah 2:18
SERMON TITLE: What Are You Building & Why Are You Building It?
SCRIPTURE: Nehemiah 2:17-20a
SERMONIC FOCUS:
WHAT IS YOUR JERUSALEM WALL?
What keeps us from building?
Issues of :
• Fear-an emotion that arises from the perception of, real or imagined, danger caused by the anticipation of something or someone, known or unknown that impacts behavior, outcome or outlook
• Faith-trust or confidence in something or someone, knowing and believing with or without prior evidence or earthly surety or guarantee. In our Christian example it is in Christ that gave His life that we might live in hope and knowledge of God
• Follow-through-the straightforward continuation of an action, thought or promise, the commitment to an activity beyond the initial instigation.

Truths about faith:
• Faith never makes sense, it is being certain of what you have not seen
• Acts of faith are seldom understood by everyone, but we get to see the results
• Once God has commissioned you for something do not be swayed by what others will say, to be swayed, conflicted and waffling is a sure way not to not have to make sense
• Those that do not know the story or are held in fear, weak in faith and do not follow through will sit idly by and criticize those that are doing things

• Who you think you are?
• Can your faith conquer your fear?
• Are you called out and set apart or part of the milling crowd, destroyers, haters?
• A fear of building or that someone will take something from you?
