Make Room - Week 2 - Godly Contentment
Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”Philippians 4:11-13
God wants you to make room for Godly
“But godliness with contentment is great gain,”1 Timothy 6:6
Four keys to living with Godly contentment:
“… To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. Ecclesiastes 5:19b NLT
God keeps such people so busy enjoying life that they take no time to brood over the past.” Ecclesiastes 5:20

“Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind.” Ecclesiastes 4:4
“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.”1 Timothy 6:10
““No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”Matthew 6:24
3.Don’t find your identity in
“And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?”*Mark 8:36-3*7
4.Put your faith in
“Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him.”Hebrews 7:25a
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galations 2:20
God wants you to live in the place of contentment/joy that is only found in Christ.
