YOUR FAITHFULNESS IN GIVING MATTERS
As we step into this new season together, we’re reminded that every act of faith begins with trust. One way we express our trust in God is through giving our tithes and offerings. When we give, we acknowledge that everything we have comes from Him, and we partner with His work in and through our church. Your faithfulness in giving helps us continue sharing God’s love, serving our community, and stepping boldly into the plans He has for us. Let’s give with hearts full of gratitude and courage, trusting that God will provide for every need.

Today’s Scripture
1 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. 3Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.
4Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”
5While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
6When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. 7But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” 8When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.
9As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.” —Matthew 17:1-9
It’s dangerous to confuse emotional intensity with spiritual maturity.
Emotional highs were never meant to be the measuring stick for spiritual health.
The deepest forms of faith aren’t reactive—they’re proactive. Meaning: it’s not just how you respond to big moments—it’s how you choose to show up in the ordinary ones. Day after day. Even when it’s quiet. —Dr, Robert Emmons
Jesus doesn’t lead us away from the ordinary. He meets us there and fills it with meaning.
Sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is to “come down the mountain” and trust that Jesus is with you in “the everyday”.
Whether we realize it or not, we often chase mountaintop moments, not for transformation, but for a way to escape.
Jesus meets us on the mountaintops to remind us that we can trust Him to be with us in the ordinary.
FIND JESUS IN THE ORDINARY
Start your day with this prayer:
“Jesus, I don’t need a big emotional moment — I need You. Help me see You in what’s right in front of me today.”
Choose a consistent time and place to meet with Jesus.
Practice presence in your ordinary life.
We don’t follow Jesus to escape the ordinary, but to live it with purpose.
Maybe Jesus is inviting you to trust that He’s already with you—in your ordinary, unfiltered, no-frills life.
Jesus doesn’t rescue us from the ordinary. He redeems the ordinary by walking through it with us.
A PRAYER OF ACCEPTANCE AND RESPONSE
Jesus is inviting you today to stop looking for a feeling - to stop waiting for your circumstances to change, and to start trusting that Jesus is who He says He is — even here. Maybe you’ve never really opened your heart to Him before. Or maybe you have, but you’ve been waiting for Him to show up in a big, undeniable, emotional way, and you’ve missed the quiet ways He’s already been with you.
Wherever you are in your story, this moment is for you. You can choose to open your heart to Jesus today. Here’s a prayer that you can pray:
Jesus, thank You for showing me who You are, not just on the mountaintop, but in the quiet corners of everyday life. I’ve been chasing the moment, but today, I choose to trust Your presence: whether I feel it or not; whether life is still or chaotic; whether the sky is glowing or the valley is deep. I give You my ordinary. I invite You into my routine. I surrender my plans and expectations. And I say yes to walking with You, day by day. Make me aware of You this week, not just in the highs, but in the here and now. Amen.
