Part 4: Summer Fun
[Exodus 20:8-11; Deuteronomy 5:12-15]
8 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 “Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. 11 “For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and made it holy. —Exodus 20:8–11
12 ‘Observe the sabbath day to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. 13 ‘Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 14 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant or your ox or your donkey or any of your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you, so that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. 15 ‘You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to observe the sabbath day. —Deuteronomy 5:12–15

A Psalm, A Song for the Sabbath day.
1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to You name, O Most High; 2 to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night, 3 with the ten-stringed lute and with the harp, with resounding music upon the lyre. 4 For You, O Lord, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands. —Psalm 92:1-410 But You have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.—Psalm 92:10
12 The righteous man will flourish like the plam tree, he will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of ouyr God. 14 They will still yield fruit in old age; they shall vbe full of sap and very green, 15 to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. —Psalm 92:12-15
