Calling and comfort can’t always coexist.

2 Kings 13:20-21 NIV Elisha died and was buried. Now Moabite raiders used to enter the country every spring. 21 Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man’s body into Elisha’s tomb. When the body touched Elisha’s bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.

Luke 9:62 NKJV But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Matthew 16:25 NLT If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

Three ways to live full and die empty:

1. Inconvenience yourself

2. Take risks (Faith)

If you want to swing for the fences, you have to be willing to strikeout.

3. Love Jesus more than anything else

Revelation 12:11 NLT And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.

2 Timothy 4:6-7 NKJV Paul’s Valedictory For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
