Unity in the Community

What is Unity?
Behold, it is good and it is pleasant
Brethren to dwell (Community)together in unity!
Behold: see or observe (a thing or person, especially a remarkable or impressive one).
Good: means fulfilling or perfect
Pleasant: denotes our response to being together. It means “delightful, lovely, beautiful” and can be attributed to wealth, singing praises to Yahweh, keeping wise teachings, and our attitude toward physical beauty (easy on the eyes: pleasant to look at).
Unity: the state of being united or joined as a whole. Unity gives us a sense of completion and makes us happy.

Unity is a state of being joined or united as a whole, while “with one accord” means to be in agreement, in unity, or all together.

What is Unity like?
It is like the precious (good) oil
It is like the dew of Hermon

What does it cause?
Commanded blessing and Life

Our unity comes from the Spirit of God flowing over us like oil and the heavenly dew descending upon us, bringing God’s blessing of life—eternal life, forever and ever. Only God’s Spirit and His promise of eternal life will break down the sin in our hearts, crucifying our selfishness and making us one.
