Always a Way Out

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! 13No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. —1 Corinthians 10:12-13

FOUR TRUTHS ABOUT TEMPTATION

1. IT’S NOT A

TO BE .

For we do not have a high priest [Jesus] who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. —Hebrews 4:15

2. YOU ARE NEVER

TEMPTATION.

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! —1 Corinthians 10:12

3. GOD WILL

TEMPT YOU.

And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. 14 Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15 These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death. —James 1:13-15 NLT

4. THERE IS

A WAY .

…And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. —1 Corinthians 10:13
