What are some Easter traditions that you and/or your family celebrate?

Read Luke 19:28-44 together. What do you think the crowd expected Jesus to do once He arrived in Jerusalem? How do you respond when Jesus doesn’t meet your expectations?

Why does Jesus weep over Jerusalem? What does this reveal about His heart? How should it shape the way we see others?

In verse 44, Jesus says, “You did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.” How can we avoid missing what God is doing right in front of us—like the people of Jerusalem did?

What things in our lives might cause Jesus to weep today?
