John 16:33a (NIV)
“… In this world you will have trouble.”

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Three Things Jesus Affirms …

• He wants us to have peace.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.”

• Peace is found IN Him.

John 16:33a (NIV)
“… so that in me you may have peace.”

• He’s overcome the world.

1 Corinthians 15:17 (NIV)
And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.

Romans 1:4 (NIV)
Jesus was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead.

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God … . (vs. 4) for everyone born of God overcomes the world … . Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
