Matthew 24:6-8 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.

What is the motivation of this war? A hatred for the Jewish bloodline of Israel. Isalm hates Israel and wants to wipe them off the map.

This hatred dates back to Genesis with Abraham’s first two sons Ishmael and Isaac. Ishmael was the first born son, but not from Sarah. So Ishmael did not recieve the firstborn rights and promise and hated his younger brother Isaac. (Read Genesis 21)

This coming war of Gog and Magog is a great reminder of the consequences that come with sin and not trusting God and his word.

Who are the nations involved in the war of Gog and Magog?

Ezekiel 38:1-7 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. Persia, Cush, and Put are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you. “Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them.”

The nations listed in Ezekiel are thought to be modern day Russia (Rosh), STAN nations (Magog), Turkey (Gomer, Meshech and Tubal), Iran (Persia), Sudan & Ethopia (Cush), and Libya (Put).

All these Islamic nations will join together and try to wipe Israel off the map. Why? They have an demonic hatred for the Jewish people.

When will the war of Gog and Magog take place?
At any moment. The bible gives us several details, and most of them have already happened. Ezekiel 38:8,16 mention when Israel has been restored back as a nation. On May 14, 1948 this happened. Another detail mentioned is when Israel controls the land of Bashan (Golan Heights, West Bank). This happened during the 6 day war of 1967. Another detail mentions when Israel is prosperous (Ezekiel 38:11-12). Israel today is the 8th ranked world power. Israel has a strong military, economy. This war could happen at any moment!

Revelation 22:12;20 “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. Yes, I am coming soon!
