Followers need to accept the authority of leaders (vs. 5a).
ALL need to exhibit a spirit of humility (vs. 5b-7).
Humility is the opposite of pride and arrogance.
Humility requires honest self-evaluation before God.

Humility requires full dependence on and subjection to God’s authority

The church can face anything when it’s filled with leaders who adopt the attitude of Jesus, followers who accept their authority, and when both exhibit a spirit of humility.
