The Good Samaritan – Luke 10:25-37
1. Kindness is a response to
“A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers…” — Luke 10:30
2. Kindness involves
“But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.” — Luke 10:33
3. Kindness requires
“So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.” — Luke 10:34
4. Kindness will
“The next day the Samaritan took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper…” — Luke 10:35
5. Kindness shows we
“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor…?” — Luke 10:36
“let us not love with words or tongue but with action…” — 1 John 3:16-18
“faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” — James 2:15-17
