Acts 13:1–3 (CSB)
1Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen, a close friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2As they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
3Then after they had fasted, prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them off. —Acts 13:1-3 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
1. Diversity in Spiritual Leadership.
We must be a church that is led by a group of diverse leaders who are exercising their spiritual giftings.
2. Devotion to worship and spiritual disciplines.
A church that’s devoted to worship and spiritual disciplines is a church that looks to be in God’s will and on his mission.
3. Determination to be sent.
Our vision for being a missional sending base starts with our obedience to the Spirit’s leading.
