  2. What has been the most challenging part of prayer for you? Do you struggle with having a regular prayer time?

  3. When you read in Romans 8:26 that the Holy Spirit helps us when we don’t know how to pray as we should, how does that affect or change the way that you pray?

  4. In what ways does the Holy Spirit “intercede” for us? What might be some examples of His intercession?

  5. In Romans 8:27, the Holy Spirit is described as the One who intercedes for the saints “according to the will of God.” Read 1 John 5:14-15; how important is it for us to pray according to the will of God? How important, then, is it for the Holy Spirit to be interceding for us?

  6. In Romans 8:27, God is described as the One who searches hearts. How does knowing that God is actively searching your heart impact the way you pray?

  7. How do you pray through your cares? Tears? Fears? Check out 1 Peter 5:7. How does this verse encourage us in pray?
