New Fellowship

Fellowship: The relationships in our lives that are centered on the unity we have in Christ.

Hebrews 10:23-25(NIV) And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Together We Win

Together is God’s Plan

Hebrews 10:24(NIV) And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds

(Ecclesiastes 4:9-10) Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

Together isn’t always EASY

Hebrews 10:24-24(NIV) And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together,

“as some are in the habit of doing…”

(1 Peter 5:8) Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

Together takes a CHOICE

Hebrews 10:25(NIV) not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Acts 13:22(ESV) And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, ‘I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.’

(1 Samuel 16:12-13) …And the Lord said, “This is the one; anoint him.” 13 So as David stood there among his brothers, Samuel took the flask of olive oil he had brought and anointed David with the oil. And the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David from that day on.

We see the best in each other!

(Proverbs 27:17) As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.

We seek God for each other!

(1 Samuel 23:15-16) One day near Horesh, David received the news that Saul was on the way to Ziph to search for him and kill him. 16 Jonathan went to find David and encouraged him to stay strong in his faith in God.

1 Samuel 23:16(NIV) And Saul’s son Jonathan went to David at Horesh and helped him find strength in God.

Proverbs 17:17(ESV) A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

We speak truth to each other

(2 Samuel 12:7) Then Nathan said to David, “You are that man!”

(Proverbs 27:5-6) An open rebuke is better than hidden love! 6 Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.
